New Magnetics Integrated Connector (MIC) Package - RJ45/single USB combo jack

April 01, 2004 - E & E Magnetic Products Limited (EEMPL) is pleased to announce the release of a new series of Magnetics Integrated Connector (MIC), the RJ45/single USB combo jack. EEMPL's RJ45/single USB combo jack, which consists of a gigabit RJ45 connector and a USB 2.0 connector port, is perfect for high speed LAN-on-motherboard (LOM) PC applications. The RJ45 connector port (integrated with magnetic components for 10/100/1000 Base-T application) meets or exceeds IEEE 802.3 and the industry standard Category 5 fast Ethernet. The USB connector port complies with USB 2.0 standard.

By utilizing this new combo jack, both motherboard space requirement and component count are reduced resulting in the reduction of manufacturing cost and increasing design flexibility. In addition, the combo jack connector benefits from being shielded by the metal shell resulting in enhanced EMI suppression performance.
