New 1000Base-T Magnetic Modules for Power Over Ethernet Plus (PoE Plus) Applications

May 18, 2007 - E & E Magnetic Products Limited (EEMPL) is pleased to announce the release of a new series of 1000Base-T Single Port Magnetic Modules, for higher Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE Plus). EEMPL's Single Port Magnetic Modules for PoE Plus, which consist of common-mode choke and isolation transformer, is perfect for PoE Plus equipment & devices. This includes Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) such as Switch, Router & Midspan Hub, and Powered Devices (PD) such as IP Video Screen Phone and Pan-Tilt-Zoom (PTZ) Camera. EEMPL's 1000Base-T Magnetics Modules for PoE Plus are designed to meet higher power applications with reference to IEEE P802.3at (PoE Plus), an enhancement of existing IEEE 802.3.af (PoE). The benefit of this new technology eliminates the need to install additional AC power outlets for Powered Devices thereby speeding deployment. It also potentially reduces the cost of installing end devices such as IP Video Screen Phone.
